First Date
First i should start off with a disclaimer. The opinion/s presented here are solely from the author's point of view. The opinion/s were built over different stories heard, seen and experienced by the author himself. The article does not intend to generalise any facts; it tries to place certain ideas, which the author feels is necessary in this context.
Have you dated any women recently? This is a common question I have to face. This question usually arises after a few meetings with a person from the opposite sex. I am sure lot of guys reading this would have been in a similar situation as me. It's fairly easy to date a women or atleast go out on a first date, however it's hard to maintain the same after the first date.
Consider a usual scenario,a guy finally thinks that he has found his soul-mate atlast. He goes out on a date with the girl. What happens next?, I have listed a few scenarios below;
1. The guy makes the move to sleep with her, and girl would think "This guy is just desperate" and she walks off!
2. The guy sleeps with her. Next day he wants to talk to her and hang out. Then the girl thinks " He thinks i am easy lay, no wonder he's asking me out again" and she snubs him.
3. The guy sleeps with her. However the guy thinks that it was a one-night stand and does not talk to her the next day. The girl thinks " You slept with me yesterday and now you do not even want to talk to me, I thought you liked me and we were going to be together..sob sob" and after this do not ever dream that you would get to date a girl atleast from the near vicinity
4. The guy decides that its too early in the relationship to get to bed and he does not sleep with her. The girl thinks "He doesn't seem like a man, he didn't even make an attempt to sleep with me. I think he's gay" and your reputation as a gay spreads so far and wide that you would realise within few days that guys in the bus-stand are checking you out!!
5. At the end of the date, guy thinks "well i do not like this girl very much, i am just hanging out with her" and decides to do nothing. The girl thinks " well he seems happy going out with me, he is not making any desperate moves to lay me, he seems like a decent guy. I reckon this is a marriage material" and she desperately tries to cling on to the guy!
Well, so is there a golden rule that a guy should follow when going out on a date with a girl. Guys options are bit confusing,
1. He cannot make moves
2. He shouldn't talk to her the next day (the day after sleeping with her)
3. He shouldn't think it was a one-night stand
4. He should be a man and show his "man-hood"
5. He shouldn't behave too decent that the girl mistakes him for the "perfect marriage material"
Confusion, Confusion and more confusion. Finally, what is the golden rule that a guy should follow on a date? it seems that its utter confusion when you go out on a first date.
